Chapter 14
My 4 weeks tracking, following and stalking-mission ends on February 14th aka Valentine's Day; the time when people show feelings of love, affection and friendship. And so does my lovely target, Virgilia. As we have monitored over the past 4 weeks, she has found her perfect match and is in a romantic relationship with FEVER TREE tonic, MONKEY 47 and HENDRICK'S Gins. A relationship that is built to last.
On this romantic Friday 14th she lets her feelings and emotions run free and lets her audience get carried away by this declaration of love "what else":
It is not a secret that these days one of the challenges in human relationships is faithfulness and loyalty. We find ourselves in a world where everyone gets so easily tempted by the desire for the unknown and the new while being bored(?) by the old. Nowadays, everyone wants more and no one values what they have. Luckily, there are these rare few who have found the only exception.
But in order to allow their love to survive, they follow the vow and promise to be true to each other, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to honour each other all the days of their lives until death does them apart. They share the entire journey.
Brands encounter the same challenge with their customers. To make them discover and buy the product after the launch is not the hardest part. The key aspect consists in making them repeat their purchase on a regular basis up to make them prefer the brand to any other brand, achieve 100% everlasting loyalty. And it is not through promotions or a reduction of the price that they are going to make this happen. Just like in real life, you cannot buy someone's love or hope to convince them by lowering yourself down and accepting to spread your legs. They either fall for you and love who you are and what you do or they don't and probably never will. "I don't want to have to convince my fiancée that she should be with me." (Lord Hammond in THE NOTEBOOK).
In this case, I was the spectator of a true love story taking place on the virtual stage Instagram, with a truly romantic and emotional closing scene, of Virgilia honouring her heroes once more, before the curtain falls.
